Your birth details

Free, no account. Your details are used once to calculate the chart and are not saved.

Date of birth
The Lagna changes about every two hours, so the time matters.
Place of birth
Type at least 3 letters. Old names work too, e.g. Bombay or Allahabad.

Your chart appears here.

Enter your date, time and place of birth. The calculation takes a moment and stays on this page.

How this calculator works

The VedaSpeak engine calculates the planets from your birth instant, the same way every time, with the sidereal zodiac and the Lahiri ayanamsha. No AI is involved in the calculation, and no person looks at your chart. Your local birth time is converted with the time-zone and daylight-saving rules that applied on that date. Read more in how we calculate.

Questions, answered.

What is the Lagna?
The Lagna is the sign rising in the east at the moment of birth. It is the first house of the Kundli, and every other house is counted from it.
Why does the Lagna need an exact birth time?
The rising sign changes about every two hours, so a few minutes can change it near the edge of a sign. The calculator marks a Lagna that is that close to a boundary.
Is the Lagna the same as my Moon sign?
No. The Lagna is the sign rising at birth; the Moon sign (rashi) is the sign the Moon was in. They can be the same sign, but usually are not.
Which house system is used?
Whole-sign houses: the sign of the Lagna is the first house and each following sign is the next house, as in a traditional North or South Indian chart.
